This project aims to host free Garmin-compatible maps of Japan. Simply navigate to the Downloads page and select the files you need.
Q: Why would you use these maps over other alternatives?
- Other maps incorrectly transliterate Japanese characters into pinyin
- Other providers use styles for regions they were not designed for
- This project has region-level extracts
- No sign-up required to download
Q: What is the release cadence?
I will be releasing new versions of the maps twice a year.
